Club Volleyball Services. We will provide insights into why we train an elite mindset and what we train, including the building blocks and the 4 C’s of an elite mindset. The goal is also to review the most important ingredients of championship teams we have observed through the years working with teams such as Nebraska and Creighton. Finally, we will briefly dive into the ingredients of elite coaches/leaders, focusing on some of the coaches we work with, including Coach Kirsten Bernthal Booth from Creighton University and Coach John Cook from the University of Nebraska.

“Coach Jess has helped me in so many ways I cannot even count. She cares so much more than any coach I’ve ever had and establishes that human connection from the very beginning. She wants you to know she wants to be present in your life and wants to be a safe space for you always. Inside your sport or even just inside your life.” - Lindsay Krause, Big Ten All-Freshman Team - 2021, PrepVolleyball.com #2 Prospect - Class of 2021, Nebraska Gatorade Player of the Year - 2021, University of Nebraska

“Coach K has been my go-to mentor since she began coaching me when I was 17. That was the year that our club volleyball season was cut short due to Covid. Through those really hard and uncertain times she began to teach me that there is so much more to life, and to myself, than being a volleyball player. She showed me that I could play freely and go after my goals fearlessly. We became really close and she changed the way that I see a lot of things in life. With Coach K, she will never ever try to change who you are in order to reach any goal. She once told me “I want to be able to put people in their strengths and watch them do epic things.” And that is exactly what she does. She loves to watch people succeed, dream, and become the best versions of themselves. She had figured out the areas where I struggled, and she challenged me and challenged my mind through that while still encouraging me, above all else, to be my authentic self. If you tell her a desire you have in life, whether it be to play college volleyball, or to hike a mountain in under an hour (which we did😉), she will hold you to that and she will encourage the heck out of you the entire way.” - Norah Sis, All Big EAST Player of the Year - 2022, AVCA 3rd Team All-American - 2021, Women's USA U21 Volleyball Gold Medalist Pan American Cup - 2021, Creighton University

"Coach Jess has had an impact on me by helping me realize that my demeanor and actions show a lot about how I am feeling on the court and how my teammates could be affected. When I have confidence in myself then the people around me will also be at their best. Everytime I talk to her I can always leave being more confident in myself."- Grace Heaney, PrepDig.com #1 Prospect in Nebraska - Class of 2023, PrepVolleyball.com #17 Prospect - Class of 2023, Purdue University

“Coach Jess is changing the way I approach not just volleyball but my life. I’m learning to be more confident, how to refocus, to be more goal-oriented and giving myself more grace. I’m relearning how to talk to myself because words matter. I’m starting to set more smart goals. Probably the biggest impact I’ve learned to be more kind to myself and to have self-compassion. I’m just starting my Max Out Mindset journey, but I am excited to see the positive impact it makes on my life.” - Skyler Pierce, PrepDig.com #3 Prospect - Class of 2024, USAV GJNC 17 Open Runner-up/All-Tournament Team - 2023, MetroSportsKC Player of the Year/MVP - 2022, University of Nebraska Commit

“Working with Coach K on mindset training over the past 6-7 years helped me prepare for the big moments but also get through the hard times. Coach K’s mentoring helped me be vulnerable with myself and others in the way that I lead. She helped me open up with the struggles I was going through even when I didn’t want to admit it. I always felt like admitting my struggles was a weakness but she showed me how working through them would make me a better player and leader. Coach K brings so much more than being a coach, she has a personal connection with each of her players that brings out the most vulnerable and deep discussions that normally is hard to talk about. She truly has the max out mindset that every athlete needs to succeed and the way she encourages her athletes to push themselves mentally is what makes her the best.” - Jaiden Centeno, Premier Nebraska Volleyball 16 Gold Assistant Coach, Former Libero at the University of Nebraska Omaha

“Coach Jess understands you and wants to help you grow and excel to the next level. She listens and communicates in a way that gives you confidence and reassurance like no one else can. She helps you see the positive outcomes even if you are in a rut, and she helps you grow in every aspect of your life. She has helped me live passionately and play freely!

Mindset training helps me grow as a leader and athlete because it gives me more confidence to help my team become better. I can play freely, and I am less stressed. I don't always have to be perfect, which helps me understand that I can give myself grace. Utilizing Max Out Mindset has helped me get back to loving the game!

Doc helps our team set goals and see the bigger picture of not just being successful but what could get in the way of us being successful and how we can address it if that happens. He has helped us with our self-talk in reacting to certain situations and returning from setbacks. He is a great human and is amazing to work with.” - Lauren Medeck, Nebraska Gatorade POY - 2022, Nebraska Class A State Volleyball Champion 2021 & 2022, USAV GJNC 18 Open National Champion - 2021, University of South Dakota Commit

“In 2022, I was playing a game that I had been playing almost my entire life but never on this kind of stage. Initially, I only saw it as fun, and I loved the environment, but on this kind of stage the pressure and expectations hit an all-time high. This led to me putting handcuffs on my ability to play free. In 2023 I hit rock bottom striving for perfection, leading to anxiety and depression. Unfortunately, perfection never happens in the game of softball, or any sport for that matter. I found myself at a loss of being able to compete. My body might have been ready for the next level, but my mindset was not prepared. In learning how to take control of my thoughts and train my mind like I would train my body, it was crazy to see how quickly my inside world began to change in life and sport. I highly recommend Max Out Mindset from firsthand experience in how applying care and attention to our minds changes not only the game we play but our lives outside of it!” -Jordy Bahl 2x National Champion, Junior at the University of Nebraska

“Mindset training is really important, especially in a sport where you’re constantly failing. It’s important to have a strong mindset so you’re able to forget a mistake you made so you can look forward to the next play to stay confident in stressful situations. While working with Coach Jess, I have learned how to be a leader, confident, mentally tough, and able to get myself out of negative thoughts. It has been amazing being able to work with her. I’ve learned so much and will continue to use what she’s taught me as I finish up my high school season and move on to college.” -Lauren Putz, University of Michigan Commit

"Mindset training was a secret weapon. The work we did gave us the tools to stay connected under stress, compete freely, and become more focused. Our resiliency came from genuine trust, joy, laughter, and love, and allowed each person to be exactly who they are without judgment. This led to a unified, powerful, and driven team." - Amanda Burbridge, Head Volleyball Coach, Sandra Day O'Connor High School
